The History of Grimes Insurance

Grimes Insurance Agency, Inc. was founded in 1948 by Lester E. Grimes, Jr.  From the first day, the agency has based its business principles on the highest standards of service to the customer, fair dealings with insurance companies, and high technical knowledge of the insurance business.

The agency has grown from a very small beginning to an agency that has earned the respect of the Lubbock community, insurance companies across the country and fellow agents.  Currently, the agency is owned and operated by Marianna Grimes-Chapman, CIC; Delbert Gault, CPCU; and Sharon Duncan, ACSR, and has 10 employees with specialists in all areas of the insurance business.

All principals in the agency are involved in various insurance organizations and committees with the expressed purpose to improve the insurance climate in Texas for the consumer. In addition, we are also involved in the community through various civic and church organizations.  We feel the need to put back part of our time and talents into the community to make Lubbock a better place to live and work.

Finally, Grimes Insurance Agency, Inc. has the commitment to each client to provide the best possible insurance program and service at the lowest possible cost. We do this with the understanding of each client's needs and the insurance marketplace.
